2025 Summer Camp Schedule
Get ready for 9 unique sessions of summer fun!
Friendly House Summer Camp offers nine weeks full of adventure, learning, and fun!
1st–6th Grade Camp: 9am–4pm.
Optional before care (7–9am) and after care (4–6pm) are each offered at an additional cost.
Session 1: Gamer Life
June 16-20, 2025 – 4-day camp
(Closed Thursday for Juneteenth)
Level up at Gamer Life Week! Kids will dive into the world of gaming with fun crafts inspired by their favorite video games and active gym activities that bring game play to life.

Session 2: Retro Week
June 23-27, 2025
It’s time to get old-school this summer with throwbacks from 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Get crafty and make your own peace sign tie-dye, lava lamps and retro game art before embarking on a trip to Oaks Park for a day of skating.

Session 3: Out of this World
June 30-July 4, 2025 – 4-day camp
(Closed Friday for Independence Day)
Blast off into an unforgettable adventure at Out of This World! Space Camp. Kids will explore the cosmos with OMSI’s mobile planetarium, experiment with gravity, launch rockets, and even make their own comets. The week ends with a Star Party where young astronauts get to celebrate with cosmic treats!

Session 4: Land of the Lost
July 7-11, 2025
Join us for 5 exciting days of prehistoric fun at Dino Discovery & Natural Science Camp, where K-5th grade explorers will dig into the world of dinosaurs through art, science, engineering, and physical challenges!

Session 5: Around the World in 5 Days
July 14-18, 2025
Pack your bags for a global adventure at Around the World in 5 Days summer camp! Each day, campers will explore a new country and celebrate cultures through hands-on activities, global games, music, dance, and storytelling. Fun-filled field trips ahead – no passport needed!

Session 6: All the Colors of the Rainbow
July 21-25, 2025
This vibrant 5-day summer camp celebrates diversity, empathy, inclusion, and equity while encouraging kids to embrace what makes them unique. Each day explores how we can build a supportive and kind community by honoring differences and recognizing the beauty in others.

Session 7: Under the Sea
July 28-August 1, 2025
Get ready for an unforgettable ocean adventure at our “Under the Sea” summer camp! This week is packed with marine-themed fun, hands-on activities, and an exciting field trip to Seaside Beach and the Seaside Aquarium! Campers will explore the wonders of the deep, discover fascinating sea creatures, and learn about ocean conservation through interactive games and crafts.

Session 8: Witchcraft and Wizardry Week
August 4-8, 2025
Have you ever wished you had your own magic wand? Wished that you could read and write in a secret language? Ever wanted your own broom and spell book? This is the camp for you. Create several magical crafts before taking a walking field trip in costume to the Peculiarium Oddities Shop.

Session 9: Portland Sports Fanatics

Get your head in the game at Sports Week! Kids will unleash their athletic skills with sports-themed crafts and action-packed gym activities featuring football, basketball, soccer, and more.

Discount, Billing, and Payment Policies
A $50 sibling discount is offered for the second and all subsequent children. Families who complete the scholarship application will not be required to submit payment at registration. They may be contacted later to make a full or partial payment, depending on scholarship eligibility.
Full payment is due 14 days prior to the start of each session (this excludes families receiving full scholarships). Refunds for canceled reservations will not be provided if a cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to the start of the session.
Payments can be made automatically through your Brightwheel account. Alternatively, they can be made by check to “Friendly House,” with cash, or through our one-time online payment page.
